Vancouver still really feels like itself on Commercial Drive.

Commercial Drive does not try to be polished, and that is exactly why people love it. This is the city's original Little Italy, still full of espresso bars and produce stands, now layered with taquerias, live music, and a farmers market. Funny enough, for a street called Commercial, it never feels too commercial. It has more character per block than almost anywhere in Metro Vancouver.

The community here is the real product. Italian Day in the summer is one of the busiest festivals in the city, and the rest of the year the street still gathers the same way, just at a lower volume. Buyers come for that energy and for the bones underneath it: character homes, heritage conversions, and low rise condos on tree lined side streets, with two SkyTrain stations bracketing the neighbourhood. If you want a home with a personality and neighbours who actually talk on the sidewalk, this is your street.

The Drive spans low rise condos up to detached character homes, so the price range is broad and the right number depends entirely on home type and street.
