I have been going out to Langley a lot recently, and for good reason. A lot of my clients who want more land and larger, nicer homes are genuinely drawn to it. There are pockets out here with unique properties you just cannot find closer to the city. If space is what you are after, Langley delivers it.
My favourite areas are Walnut Grove and Brookswood. Walnut Grove sits in the northwest corner of the Township, settled and family focused, with its own community centre, shops and theatres, and the Golden Ears Bridge on its doorstep. Brookswood has a quieter, semi rural feel with large treed lots. The honest trade is proximity: you give up the short urban commute in exchange for the space and the home you actually want. Is that a trade that fits your life right now? That is the first thing I would want to figure out with you.
Land and larger homes
Langley is built around detached homes on real land, with newer townhomes and condos filling out fast growing areas like Willoughby. That mix, plus the coming SkyTrain, makes pricing area specific. Is Langley your fit?
- Buyers who want land. Langley is where my clients go for larger lots and bigger homes than their money buys closer to the city. Space is the whole point.

- Brookswood buyers. A quieter, semi rural feel with large treed lots, for a buyer who wants breathing room and does not mind trading the urban commute.

The Surrey Langley extension along Fraser Highway is under construction now, with service anticipated in late 2029 and a Clayton station planned at 190 Street. This is my read on why the area is worth watching.

Fort Langley heritage
The birthplace of British Columbia, home to the Fort Langley National Historic Site and a walkable heritage village of shops and cafes. Real history a short drive from the new builds.
