East Vancouver runs on its main streets. Commercial Drive, Main Street, Fraser, Hastings: each one anchors a neighbourhood of character houses, walkable blocks, and businesses owned by the people behind the counter. This is where the city's food, music, and culture get made, and the housing carries the same personality.
For buyers, the east side is where Vancouver's character homes stay within reach. The same craftsman bones that command west side prices sit on east side streets for meaningfully less, and neighbourhoods like Mount Pleasant have become destinations in their own right. Is Vancouver East your fit?
- Character home hunters. Craftsman houses, Vancouver Specials, and duplexes on streets with actual trees and actual neighbours. The east side is where that search still succeeds.
- Main street people. If your ideal Saturday is a coffee on the Drive or a browse down Main, you already live here in spirit. The neighbourhood does the entertaining.
- Value minded families. Schools, parks like Trout Lake and Clark Park, and more house per dollar than the west side. The trade is prestige, and many of my buyers happily make it.

The Drive is the east side's living room: Italian delis, coffee bars, patios, and Trout Lake's park and farmers market a few blocks east. It is also where I have spent much of my career.
Mount Pleasant
Breweries, studios, and Main Street's independent shops, with a Broadway Subway station arriving in fall 2027. The east side's fastest moving neighbourhood.
The corridors between
Fraser, Victoria, and Hastings each carry their own strip of restaurants and shops, so most east side homes sit within a short walk of a main street that feels like theirs.
